The significance of Jesus’ “withdrawal” into Canaanite territory should not be underestimated. This was a significant moment for the Disciples to percieve the Good News of The Kingdom of God, the Canaanite Woman, who was desperate to experience the mercy of God for her, and for the move of the Holy Spirit to touch the “nations.”
