About

Our Story

In Trout Run a bible study incorporating several conscientious objectors planted a seed that would eventually become Penn Street Mennonite Church and later Agape Fellowship of the Mennonite Church.

Pastor

As a second vocation pastor I view pastoral ministry through two filters.  The first is that of decades of layman experience and ministry responsibilities. The second is that of experience as a shepherd in the urban environment of a small city like Williamsport.  My personal passion is to know my God so intimately that others would see the works of my Father as they did through Jesus (John 14:10-14) when he walked the earth. My ministry passion is to shepherd potential leaders to be fruitful shepherds (mentors in the faith). The scriptures call this “making disciples of all nations.” My wife Lauri and I were married in 1987 and we have 4 children. I have been ministering here since my graduation from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2008.

I am active in the College of Prayer and passionately affirm their vision to reach a lost world through a revived church!  Will you join me in this journey?

For Him and His Kingdom,
Dale

Elders

Elders serve as the primary source of leadership for Agape Fellowship of the Mennonite Church under the direction of God and His written word, the Bible. The elders function to provide leadership in accomplishing the Vision of Agape Fellowship.

Our current Elders are Junior Herlocher, Tim Mello, and Paul Leichty in addition to Pastor Dale Rintelman.

Administrators

The Administrators are first and foremost servants to the congregation. In coordination with the pastor, staff, and other leaders, the Administrators oversee the organizational health of Agape so that the Kingdom of God will be evident. The Administrators are chosen by an open process of recommendation and voting.

The current co-administrators are Birgit Schult and Reba Coup.

Agape Council

The Agape Council is first and foremost a servant of the congregation. It is responsible for the overall governance of Agape, seeking advice and counsel from the Elders, other leaders, and congregation as needed. Members for Council are chosen through an open process of recommendation and member voting.

The current council members are Jim Forestal, Hollie Hill, Karen Mello, Ginny Forestal and Bruce Trick.
Pastor Dale Rintelman and an Elder’s Representative also participate.
