A Tare Relevation

Preacher:
Passage: Matthew 13:36-43; Luke 3:16-17; Mark 3:11-12; Hebrews 1:5-14
Service Type:

After Jesus goes to the house where he often stays the disciples take the private
opportunity to ask Jesus what the meaning of His parable regarding the Wheat
and the Tares means. Jesus, then, reveals the ultimate worldview in detail. The
Son of Man (himself) is the Sower of good seed. The angels (servants) witness
the infiltration of weeds and ask if they should root out the “tares?” Jesus
answers that the weeds must be left alone until the final day harvest. Angels are
the Reepers who are ministering on behalf of the “children” of the good seed as
they walk in a world infiltrated by the weeds of the enemy.
