The Matthew 18 passage reveals an imprint that speaks the innocence of Children. It refreshes the understanding of an the “age of accountability” doctrine. Though we are all born into sin ( Ps 51:5; Rom 5:12 ) God has set a “God shaped vacuum” (Pascal) inside us that is never satisfied without Jesus. The good news is that Jesus pursues us relentlessly as the Good Shepherd. Then clear description of Mt 18:10-14 reveals a Shepherd who desires so passionately to save His one lost sheep that He recklessly leaves the 99 ON A MOUNTAIN.
