This Christmas Hymn by John Francis Wade from 1743 was translated by Frederick Oakeley. It is sung to the tune of Adeste Fideles. The lyrics exalt Jesus Christ as the Son of Man, King of Angels and the Son of God who is truly God (god of True God). The delight of the hymn is it’s invitation to us to “come to bethlehem” and to “adore Him, Christ the Lord!”
