Fasting is the primary practice that Jesus tells us to do in secret. This is because our Father who is in secret meets with us in secret. Fasting is giving something up from your earthy treasure storage and replacing it (in secret) with something indestructible from your Heavenly Father! We fast when we simply stop and spend time with our Heavenly Father who loves us.
