In this passage we follow Paul’s encouragement to resist the temptation of false teachers to focus on the law. Instead we are to receive the purpose of the law which is to receive the wonderful mercy and grace of God through Jesus Christ. Paul is the greatest example of this as he explains that he is a murderer and the chief of sinners.
