Taking His Name
This is the name of your father,
identifying the family to which you belong.
You have physical characteristics
that tie you to this biological family.
Since you have been adopted into God's family,
you have “taken” the name given to those
who “walk as Jesus walked” while He lived here on earth,
Christian.
Others see, in you,
the fruit of the Spirit,
the attributes of your Heavenly Father ~
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
