God’s Love
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Romans 8:35 KJV
Jesus’ heart is unlike any other heart.
It is filled with an unconditional love —
a committed love that is described so well in 1 Corinthians 13.
Jesus loves you and wants you to know
the height and depth, the length and breadth of it.
He knows we cannot fully comprehend it,
for it goes far beyond the human love, so often selfishly motivated.
Know that His love abounds toward you,
surrounds you, shelters and protects you,
is fully committed to what is best for you,
and can bring that to fulfillment,
as you trust Him with yourself, your day, and its details,
your relationships and possessions, and all you say and do.
Because His love is pure (not selfishly oriented)
and freely given
(there’s nothing you can do to earn it or deserve it),
it can be received only by those
humble enough to open themselves to it,
believe its simplicity and embrace its reality.
